Maxi Summer

Maxi Summer

I've been so busy with life, and I haven't got the time for blogging regularly. I honestly can't believe how fast time soars by. It's summer already. 4th of July, barbecue, and fireworks. What I am loving this summer is maxi dresses. They are easy to throw on and become instantly chic. I guarantee you will get compliments on it (if you shopped wisely). And you don't have to worry about if your mini skirt is riding up in the back; it's comfortable and easy, perfect for summer. I absolutely love this one here with the cutouts because its just the right amount of sexy for a casual day outfit. The pop of pink puts a smile on people's face, and who doesn't love Michael Kors?! Anywho, there's your fashion inspiration for the day and have a happy and safe 4th of July! I'll try to post more this summer !

Happy New Year!

Hey everyone! I meant to post this at 11:30ish on New Years Eve, but somehow I forgot to hit the "Publish" button. So here's to a new year anyway:

Happy New Year!

I hope everybody had a happy holiday! With less than a half hour before the ball drops, we reflect on the joys, tears, and laughter we shared this past year. Whether at a bar celebrating with your friends or snuggling up on the couch with your family, I wish everyone a happy new year.  As we raise our champagne glasses to the rise of a new beginning, let's ring in the new year with optimism, confidence, and style!

Blue Leather and Mustaches

Blue Leather and Mustaches

Winter is fast approaching and its that time of the year for holiday lights going up, family get togethers, and sipping hot coco by the fire. I went to Starbucks yesterday and picked up a salted caramel mocha- my taste buds were overjoyed. The little bit of salt brings out the sweetness of the caramel and the depth of the chocolate in the coffee. On another note, I've lately been into cool-weird quirky things like tiger shirts, bird patterns, and my striped skirt.  So when I saw this comfy sweater with mustaches on it, I feel in love. Especially if you live in a cooler climate, comfortable sweaters are a must. The mustache sweater is paired with a leather skirt, blue leather boots, and cute mustache earrings. To make the outfit even quirkier, take those contacts out and put on cute nerdy ray-bands. Let your quirk out- always in style of course!

Have a happy Thursday!

Trend Alert: Oxblood Red

AKA my current obsession, oxblood red is the color of this Fall/Winter 2012 season, as many of you may know.  The color can be styled elegant, edgy, or classic- while remaining sophisticated. Some call it oxblood, some call it burgundy, but nonetheless this deep red color is being seen everywhere (including my last post).

Burgundy

I would love if this trend continues to next season too, since I absolutely love this color! My favorite items would have to be the blazer, jeans, tights, and dress. But, first on my shopping list are those hot burgundy stilettos!

Black, White, and Burgundy

Oh, by the way, I hope y'all know that you can click on the small pictures below the collage if you want more information on the clothes and accessories. Anyway, burgundy can pair well with both silver or gold accents. For this outfit, we combined a burgundy blazer and heel with a lacy black and white look. The bright silver reminds me of winter time and carries off such a clean look. If you're going for more of a casual look, you could always swap silver flats for the heels.

Shimmering Gold & Burgundy

Showing the versatility of the color, here is a gold outfit with burgundy jeans. Not until recent years have I embraced gold as an accent metal, but now I love the sophistication. Shiny gold, metallic and peplums are so on trend for this season as well, making this shirt perfect to pair with the oxblood denims. With the nude pumps and trench, this look doesn't try too hard.

Oxblood Elegance

Returning to the silver theme, I wanted to include a formal look. This sweetheart lace and chiffon dress flows beautifully for an elegant event. The fur wrap creates a monochromatic feel for classic beauty. The beaded clutch is absolutely beautiful and matches perfectly with the other silver accessories.

Burgundy/oxblood/deep-red/my-favorite-color retains so much versatility in styles and occasions. While this color is so hot in stores right now, I have a feeling I'll be wearing my burgundy items for many years.

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!
